The Kiddos

Meet our furry kids...Sadie and Doodles. They sure do keep things interesting (and hairy!!), but we simply couldn't imagine our lives without them.

Doodles:

Doodles was our first baby. She showed up on my birthday on my in-laws' farm in July of 2009. She had ridden home underneath the farm truck that had been parked in a wheat field. She was meant to be! Doodles was very sweet and loving as a kitten, and constantly wanted to be around us. She's pretty independent now (and a little naughty!), but she makes us laugh and still surprises us with sweet moments from time to time. Doodles is 4 years young. Her loves: Temptations cat treats, snoozing in the sun, being brushed, exploring in our backyard, and catnip toys! Her annoyances in life: her sister, Sadie (sometimes), her nemesis the vacuum, the doorbell, and hairballs.

Sadie:

Sadie was the second furry addition to our family, and she too is 4 years young. We rescued her from The Sheltie Shack in December of 2011. I had been begging Adam for a dog ever since we got married, and he finally granted my wish as a Christmas surprise! She is the absolute perfect fit for our family, especially since she doesn't mind having a cat for a sister! Now that we have Sadie, we can't imagine our life without her. She is full of energy and unconditional love, and she is our little shadow. Her loves: Ol' Roy jerky strips, bones, playing ball (would do it 24/7 if we let her), snow, going for walks, adventures to Grandma and Grandpa's, and her yellow heart-shaped pillow. Her annoyances in life: her sister's moodiness, bath time, being left home alone, rainy days, and not being able to play ball 24/7.
